Got a videologic sonic fury card...

It's suddenly stopped working.. Tried unistall/reinstall etc but no luck..

After installing the drivers I get the message

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Anyone know what code 10 means??

Cheers...

win xp btw..

Not positive, but is it an IRQ conflict?
Try taking it out, and switching the physical slot.

Also, have a look HERE (http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&threadm=u%23oYW6nOCHA.1740%40tkmsftngp12&rnum=6&prev=/groups%3Fq%3DWindows%2BXP%2Berror%2Bcode%2B10%253F %26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26selm%3Du%2523oYW6nOCHA.1740%2540tkmsftngp12%26 rnum%3D6)

I know you tried that already, but they had the same problem you did.

right what OS you running

in some OS you may notice that even though you unistall the device its still in the installed list you may need to go mainly remove all the drivers and current installations of that device i had to do that in win2000 and XP

another problem is its knackered :(

i cant see it being IRQ unless you have installed anything else but do what vile says sometimes re-assigning a new irq can help also check ya bios to see if you can manually assign an irq to a specific slot

try and remove the old drivers first
this can be a confilict in hardware

Cheers..:)

It's working again...Not sure exactly what went wrong though:confused:

Took card out and manually deleted the files...

When running the latest driver exe, the only option I got was to uninstall..wierd..

Had to put all the new files in by hand too..

btw, my brother was the last person to use it before it went tits-up.. He said wmp was going on about missing pins and refusing to play anything...

argghh

seems all is not well after all...

try to access sonic fury contral panel causes the machine to reboot.

and yes, I still have the old sonic fury entry in the add/remove prog list... I can't get rid of the original one..

now powerdvd reboots the machine upon starting it....

jesus f'ing christ..

and to think, I just saw some prick over on digital forums talking about actually paying 120 odd quid for xp pro...what a nonce.
