Mafia running problem

I´ve just installed mafia and it all went ok. Now, I insert CD 1, it autoruns and I click play but nothing happens. I only get a couple of windows saying LS3D Engine and Init Error. I´ve tried all the fixes here in megagames and in gamecopyworld with no luck. I have the fairlight release.
Please, help me :)

Update your graphic drivers and get latest DirectX.

I´ve already installed the one that comes with the game itself and it is the last one, version 8.1. Please, look

It´s fixed now!! You were right. The problem was caused by the drivers.
