A guide to Kazaa Lite

There seem to have been a lot of questions about Kazaa and Kazaa Lite recently so I hope this helps.

Kazaa is what is known as a p2p file sharing program. This means that millions of people are connected over the internet and you can copy files from each other. As there are an awfull lot of idiots out there though, you have to be carefull. When you run a search you get a list of files and if you move your mouse cursor over a file, an info box is displayed which you should read before starting to download. A lot of stuff is bogus and has bee re-named but the original name is usually somewhere in the info box.
A fair amount of virus's are mixed in as well, so make sure you have decent Anti Virus software and that it is up to date. I run the live update every time before I connect.
Then make sure you check everthing you download before you open any files. If you are carefull and use a bit of common sense you will be able to use Kazaa Lite Safely.
The original Kazaa is full of spyware which is bad news so Kazaa Lite has been developed and this is clean and contains no spyware or hidden programs and is the only one to use.

Just follow the download links until you get to a list of kazaa lite stuff. Then downlaod this one

Kazaa Lite K++ 2.1.0 build 3 English

Or another language if you want but the numbers are the important bit. The higher the number, the newer the version is.

Thank you for that explination. I was wondering about all that Kazaa Lite stuff. So what you are saying is that Kazaa lite is better than Kazaa? If so I should go and get it.

agree with tone
kazza 0/10 (too much spyware adware, slow downloading limited search)
kazza lite 9/10 (fast downloads, unlimited searching, no spyware adware, the list goes on)

Kazaa lite is Kazaa Media Desktop without the crap as they say, so, no doubt, Kazaa Lite is best.

if u want more than the 200 search limit u can edit it in the registry by loading up regedit - Run regedit then
my computer/hkey_current_user/software/kazza/advanced/ and edit the maxsearchresult REG_DWORD to what ever number u want.

WHATEVER YOU DO ALL YOU NOOBS DONT INSTALL KAZAA....... IT HAS SPYWARE AND UNLESS YOU WANNA BUY (or download <--illigally) SPYWARE REMOVING PROGRAMS THEN JUST GET
kazaa lite.... its the one with no spyware or ads/adware (popups)

yeah man. i was using Morpeus first. but then it bcame sucky. so i switched to kazaa. i thought that was the best that could be got out of a p2p. but when i started using Kazaa lite.. wow!! it is awesome and a hundred times better than kazaa. i recommend it strongly!!

Alright genious', here a quick question:

KaZaA and Kazaa Lite are different programs altogether. So, is the music industry hunting down Kazaa Lite user or just KMD users?

anyway its true kazza has alot of spyware but im gonna add this if u run ad aware and get rid of the spy ware it has when u try 2 run kazza it says u have deleted a vitsl part of kazza plz reinstll kazza how about that for hidden things :gun3:

If you read through this thread you will notice that it has been pointed out that Kazaa is full of spyware while Kazaa Lite is clean.

i was ponting out that u cant just extract the spyware from kazza or it says you have deleted a vital part of kazza plz reinstall kazza

Everyone SHOULD know that already. I never used Kazaa accept for when it first started out - when it had no adware/spyware. People that actually think they are not being watched by that stuff is pretty stupid. The IRAA even has everyone being logged with downloads and etc. from Kazaa and Kazaa Lite. I use WinMX, Direct Connect, and Hotline. I NEVER have to worry about getting hit by logs, and I don't even have to worry about slow downloads or even the POSSIBILITY of spyware/adware... oh well... it was your guys' choice! :biggrin:

there were 2 versions other than the original Kaaza.. in the newest version both Kaaza Lite and K++ have been integrated and a lot of upgrades have been made.. i am getting better speed also
