If you don't mind, I'll wait until the next patch comes out before bothering with updating the game. The new one has it's own problems. Some of which, are worse than the 1.0 release...

I get the same + my whole taskbar disappears... and I can't even close my windows with alt+F4

I also have the problems with the, it starts, then crashes and my taskbar dissapears !

Must have been a rush job! Oh well, there's always the 1.2 patch that will surely follow. I just hope Bioware and Lucasarts learn their lesson about releasing games before QA has been fully done...

You need to REALiZE..

this v1.01 Patch is the FIRST SECUROM 5 - to be cracked.. wouldnt be suprised if FAiRLiGHT messed somthing up on it..

it also appears this Securom 5 isnt the REAL securom 5..
newest securom has more triggers and one new feature.

I should have been more clear that both were rushed. The crack was definitely rushed, but mainly this is a problem with the game. In fact, most of the problems I know of are by those who aren't even using cracks...

So, I wouldn't blame it only on Fairlight!

I don't have any problems with the deviance crack but there have been problems with the fairlight crack as it was a rushed job.

Just use the Deviance crack, it worked for me!

I have problems with deviance crack.. or with the whole game. Game crashes every now and then

And I'm not saving freak, so usually I have to play ~2h all over again.

I have another Problem: I can't install the game. There is a CRC Error in data2.cab everytime at 37% of the installation. Anyone else got that error?? Or any ideas how to fix it??

If you get that kind of errors, then use CDmage program to fix em. You'll find it with google or with other searchers. I'm not 100% certain that it fixes it but.. Good Luck

Hey you guys, could someone please tell me where I must unzip or place the 2 files from the v1.01 KotOR-crack??? I need to know where to put it so I can play the game now...Just tell me in wich folder I must place the file(C:ProgramFiles/Lucasarts/SWKotor/.....and then what?)

Hi I have the same problem. However I know its not an issue with the CD as i Have succesfullly used it to install succesfully on another computer. Also Its not a cd reader issue, as I've already created and mounted an image of the CD, it still has the same problem either in install, or trying to manually copy that specific file (DATA2.cab) over to my hardrive.. I've also tried defragmenting my hardrive, as well as creating a new partition, formating that partition then trying to copy/install over. Any ideas or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.. THANKS!

I cant get this crack to work. Ive tried for hours I just dont understand it. I tried both and they give me the same message. I click on them and my computer gives me an error message and says it has to close it and then it shuts down. I tried going into the game and selecting it somehow but I cant do that either. Anyone have any idea what to do Im totoally lost here. I dont know anything about patching games or anything. I want to play this game again and I lost my Play Disk....this crack is the only way
