Beware Of *Phony* Emails From MG Staff [Please Read]
To all members,
Many emails have are being sent out to people which are supposedly coming from our staff (@megagames.com & @mgforums.com)
These emails have a virus attached so please do not open it.
Please note that the only members of staff here that will email you will most likely be an Admin, and IF we email you we will NOT attach any files.

If you see an email addressed from:
vile@megagames.com
gg@megagames.com
northiviking@megagames.com
shadowrunner@megagames.com
noreply@megagames.com
And the file size is large (above 10K) delete it without even opening it.
Please do NOT download/open the attachment, as these emails are not being sent from us.
Here is a screenshot of my inbox. Apparently I sent an email to myself without knowing it:
Again, if you get an email from anyone @megagames.com and it contains an attachment, delete it immediately.

A new email is also being sent, which also contains an attachment.

The contents of the new email are:

By using 3rd party, external programs that allow you to specify the sender address.
These are simple programs which script kiddies play with, since they have no real hacking knowledge.
Another thing about these emails is that they people use horrible English. All of the staff is fluent in English and we don't make obvious mistakes, so that's another thing that gives it away.

so true about script kiddies and think its programming thats the funny part
of it all, thankfully australia has just tightened the spamming laws my hotmail inbox has never been so quite its amazing how jail time deters people its about time i say they dont realize that we work on the net its our workplace
and without people like us there wouldnt be one for them to abuse ..
