  1. i recently downloaded this version of final fantasy 7 to replace the one i purchaced years ago.. i have installed it but whenever i try to start the game it just gives me a black screen and then sends me back to my desktop, what do i need to do? I am running it on XP with nvidia graphics card. If anyone knows anything about why its not working please help.
  2. If you don't physically own the orginal game we can't help you dude! Sorry you must have the original downlaoding copies is an illegal way to obtain software/games and it is not tolorated on these boards.
  3. you cant ask that here dude, you need to read the rules for this site
  4. i stated i downloaded it to replace the one i own. it's all scratched up and it does'nt play.
  5. it wont read the disk to let me install it, thats why i downloaded this version
  6. if u still have the original you shouldnt have download 1 of the net. why didnt u download a crack for the original from megagames as i said before u need to read the rules about downloading games.
  7. do u not understand what i am asking?
  8. no one on this site like people asking about the game they have downloaded from the internet which is illegal. never ask on this site. go to to www.gameburnworld.com
  9. You won't get much help here if you go around mentioning you downloaded games or apps from the net regardless fo weather you have the original or not.

If you own the original you should have just said your having problems getting it to play on win XP.

You need to install a patch to allow this game to run on win xp. If you want the older version of the patch 1.3 you can simply download it from zdnet http://www.download.com/Final-Fantasy-VII-XP-Patch/3640-7539_4-10122632.html alternatively if you want the most recent patch that is 1.4 you can get it off of fileplanet, but you will have to regsiter for a free account before you can access their downloads. http://www.download.com/Final-Fantasy-VII-XP-Patch/3640-7539_4-10122632.html
  10. FF7 is to old to be running on a windows xp, even if you sucsesfully instals it, it will NOT work, i got FF7 and I get a black screen when I start the game. Then it says that my drivers is out of date, but theyre not, they are to new.
  11. That is not true. It runs fine on my system.
  12. What kind of computer do you got ecko?
  13. Try running the game in Compatibility mode ;)
  14. AMD 64 3200+
    1 Gig DDR
    NV6800 GT
    Windows XP Pro

  15. Like eCK0 said it isn't true. Check out my specs in my sig and even running WIN XP Pro 64 it runs fine after installing the XP fix of course.
  16. thank you for the all the advice, i will see if it can make it work.

is it normal, after installing the patch, for windows to tell me to insert my XP disk to fix a problem with windows?

sorry for rousing some people but i see others illicitly asking for 'crackz' which is not different from a warez, i dont see the difference in what you guys are doing and what i am asking.
  17. I didn't get that message when I installed the patch not sure what that could be really.

Regarding your original question the differece is that you are entitled to backup your games/dvd movies apps from your original media and having the original software with you, and yes I do understand that you own the original FFVII and that it is all scratched up or else I would have closed the thread a long time ago. It is the donwloaded part where you messed up and not explaining that you still own the original you only stated that you had purchased the original at one point and that you downloaded a copy now.

Cracks are allowed and they aren't warez because as stated before you are entitled to have a backup/s to keep your original safe but you must own the original copy of the app, game, or dvd.

Please use caution in the future!
  18. its actually illegal to make or possess a duplicate of most any game even for "back up" purposes
  19. You are wrong. It is 100% legal for you to backup any game, movie, and music cd for archival (and preservation) purposes - the only catch is that you must destroy ANY trace of those archival backups once you do not own the original anymore.
  20. i could be wrong but that is what is stated in most disclaimers. so i dunno, but i guess if you say so

im not familiar with any of this but someone told me that i could install this version if i owned the game.. this is the first time ive ever done it so im just now reading into it.. again thanks for all the suggestions
