How to burn PS2 games with DVD Burner and play it without a Mod-Chip

Does n e 1 can explain me the how i can burn ps2 games with a DVD burner and play these games without havin to buy a mod-chip or anything else like that and the apps that i would have to use to do it

First u need a mod chip, if you dont the games wont boot.

either a mod chip or boot disks is the only way to play backups

I just got into this burning process with torrents and such. I burned GOW for my bro's PS2 on bitlord. How can I burn it and I burn it with a DVD + R , im pretty sure its that. I read something about the swapmagic somewhere and I dowloaded that on bitlord too but I cant burn it onto the dvd. What am i doing wrong?

Downloading the swapdisc and burning it to a normal disc won't work anyway, it defeats the whole object of getting your PS2 to play copied discs becuase your trying to use a copied disc to make your PS2 play copied discs.

The swapdisc method only works with the original disc that you must buy.

It is best to burn PS2 games on DVD-R not +R, better chance of it working.

I used dvd+r with no problems i used Hpdvd+R

DVD+R does work, i've just read at several places that it is better to use DVD-R as it puts less stress on the laser, so it lasts longer.

Okay i've been reading this thread; i'm about to try burning a ps2 game to dvd for the first time.

Are some of you saying this mod-chip is necessary and what the heck is a mod-chip?

hi everyone im a noob i have the swap disc i burned prince of persia on a dvd+r as an image every thing went fine then i put the dvd rom swap disc in at first it wouldnt read it so i changed speed of the ps2 to fast then the swap disc loaded when i put my burned disc in it says that its not ps2 format???????? can anyone help???? thanx in advace
